Is pottery, born of clay, destined only to become landfill? SSAN challenges this notion. Damaged wares are ground into a fine powder, then blended with 70% new clay and 30% fine powder, which is then kneaded again, molded, dried, and fired to make recycled pottery. This is a sustainable creation that is both environmentally responsible and poetic in the way it breathes life back into the objects.
